Mr Huff has a big role in the seventh grade middle school and its students. Mr.Huff is the Seven Hills 7th grade history teacher. He went to Miami University and is known for his passion and ability to make lessons fun. 7th grade student Paloma Garcia says “I love Mr. Huff.”
Mr. Huff loves not only helping students and teaching about history but also teaching the students about real-life scenarios and teaching them how to set up for their future. 8th grade student Bella Bean says “He was nice, funny and respectful.”
For example Mr. Huff does a yearly lesson on the stock market. The importance of this is to show students how to invest in stocks and make a profit. At the end of the year the winners get to tour UC and speak on their strategies and plans. How the stock market game works is he gives you 100,000 fake dollars to make a profit. All decisions are up to you and your group and you better not mess up! Mr.Huff says “I’m a big proponent of financial literacy” when talking about the stock market.
Mr. Huff also does another big project at the end of the year called the “Cincinnati Neighborhood Project.” This focuses on individual neighborhoods and their projects. You get to choose a group of friends to do the project with and go to the neighborhood you picked to interview civilians about it and have some fun.
