The Seven Hills School- “The best Chinese teacher ever mrs Wu” Elise Greiwe said. She says she loves Chinese class and would choose it over anything else. She speaks some Chinese at home and says Mrs Wu’s class helps her excel in speaking at home. Her favorite part of Chinese is watching Nezha. “ My favorite part is fun Fridays when we watch Nezha.” Nezha is a Chinese movie that the students watch every Friday.

Ms Wu moved to the US as a senior in high school in 2010. “I wanted to travel the world, and I thought that if I could teach Chinese as a second language, I could travel the world and teach it.” She makes her class very fun. “ We do a lot of games, cultural activities. I try not to make my students just sit there and do notes and make my class engaging.”
Ms Wu likes teaching Middle school and Upper equally, but she likes how fun, bubbly, and energetic the middle school students are. Even though she likes teaching middle school she enjoys how she can talk about deeper topics with the upper school. “I like how I can talk about more mature topics with the upper school students.”
Ms Wu loves living in America, but she also misses living in China. She loves that “people aren’t money or status driven, they live the way they want to and are not enslaved by their jobs,” she says. The things she misses about China are the convenience of walking around and being able to stop in many different stores, and also how safe it is at night. She says there were also lots of entertainment places, and night markets.
Ms Wu is very loved at Seven Hills, by the community, and by the students. Her caring personality and encouraging mindset make Chinese students at Seven Hills excel in their learning and life skills in general.
