Mr. Snyder likes to bring happiness to students in the cafeteria.
“It is one of the places where we do not hand out assignments,” Mr. Snyder said. “It is where you take a breather and a break and have fun… I like to bring happiness.”
The cafeteria staff works so hard from the minute they step on campus to the minute they leave. They like to spend their mornings working hard to fulfill the enjoyment of kids when they walk through the cafeteria doors. They all want to bring fun and good food to Seven Hills to add to the community. One thing that is hard for them is to make sure they have enough food for the whole school. They make stuff they know people will like and go on from there. They keep the things they know the school will like. When the lines are long they know what people like and do not like. “ Food is like fashion, it’s changing all the time: what’s new is old and what’s old is new,” said Head/ Master Chef Gherardi.
The cafeteria staff thinks of each other like family, they have a great bond. Some of them grew up at Seven Hills. When Mr. Snyder was a student at Seven Hills, Harold was serving him as a child and having the chance to work with each other in the cafetiera has been a “great experience” for them and for the rest of the staff.
The staff base their ideas on the students. They like to get input on what they like and use that information to make the food. When they see the kids coming through the doors they know their hard work has been fulfilled. They get inspiration from the community and work hard to make the school satisfied.
Not all superheroes wear masks and capes. Our superheroes wear aprons and gloves. Our superheroes make us pizzas on Wednesday. Our superheroes make sure that we have full bellies. They are hidden under a mask but they do so much for the school and don’t get enough credit. So next time you see them say thank you!
