Mr. Waskowitz has 14 years working at this middle school under his belt and sadly this year is his 15th and last year. Mr. Waskowits has left such a big impact on this community and has done so much to make Seven Hills the place it is today.

Mr. Waskowitz is starting a new chapter in his life and is moving to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. There he will be starting and pending a new middle school for 2026-2027 school year. “I’m going to miss the faculty, I’m going to miss how much I love going to work, sometimes it doesn’t even feel like a job,” Mr. Waskowitz said. Mr. Waskowitz enjoys his job so much. Mr. McGarvey says he hopes the next principal genuinely enjoys middle schools and middle school students as much as Mr. Waskowitz.

Mr Waskowitz says he is also going to miss many of the Seven Hills traditions, especially Pumpkin Day which is one of his favorites. He enjoys any instance where the whole community is together.

Many of the kids in middle school appreciate how he always makes conversation with you no matter where you are. Conrad Riverio, the Star of our winter musical, said “Before Willy Wonka, we talked and he gave me some encouragement!” Sarah Olowokure, who participated in the kindness speech at the start of the year, told us that she was able to have one on one conversations with Mr. Waskowitz and it helped her get to know him better. Mr. Waskowitz will always be sure to ask you how your day is going and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Sarah said “Just hearing something as little as ‘Hey! How’s your day going!” makes her smile everyday.

With being at Seven Hills for 37 years Mr. McGarvey has been lucky enough to have worked with Mr.Waskowitz for the past 15 years. As a teacher he says “because of his leadership style it gives me new ways to go about things and learning how to be a teacher.” Through his years with Mr.Waskowitz , Mr McGarvey has filled his years with memories, his favorite being a sumo wrestling challenge. During this exciting challenge, the school got a real sumo wrestler and “randomly” chose a teacher to dress up in a sumo wrestler costume. The teacher chosen was Mr. Waskowitz. This shows how Mr. Waskowitz is willing to do anything to entertain the community to make everyone smile. Mr. McGarvey recalls this memory: “One year we had a sumo wrestler and Mr Waskowitz was dressed in the costume which was an inflatable sumo wrestler.”

Mr. Waskowitz has been such a big part of this school for such a long time. Although he is leaving our school, he is always going to be in our hearts, and we will always have a part of him with us. He will forever be in our memories as a part of our school. We are all excited for him to move on to the next chapter of his life. Mr. Waskowitz’s influence will always resonate with all the students and faculty who got to experience his uplifting energy and his unforgettable smile.
