As Tripp O’Connell says, “Mr. G is him.”

Mr. G usually comes to school for Encore around 4:00 pm. “He gives us some freedom, but he also keeps us in check when needed,” Tripp stated. Mr. G perfectly balances leniency and strictness, creating the ideal student environment. Before coming to Seven Hills, Mr. G was an administrator at a preparatory school. He has some experience working and being around middle school kids.

Leo Cai said, “Mr. G is fun and a cool guy to be around, and he is kind and respectful, and he is just a nice guy.” Leo shows us that everybody who goes to encore enjoys being there. “I enjoy being outside after 4:30,” Leo said. At 4:30, everybody can go outside and play football, 4 square, and many other games, creating a fun place for all of the kids to be in so they enjoy the time they spend waiting to be picked up.

Tripp O’Connell states, “It allows us to hang out with our friends even after school, and my favorite part is talking to my friends and playing basketball.” As a regular Encore member, he gives a good insight into what it is like to be at Seven Hills after school.

During the after-the-ball period, from 3:30 to 3:45, the students have to be in the Encore room, room 203, and from 3:45 to 4:30, the students have a quiet time to do homework or relax. Leo goes to an Encore once a week when his parents can’t pick him up.

Mr. G is a fantastic encore teacher. It’s his first year at Seven Hills, and he is a fun teacher. We also asked Mr. G what one word to describe Seven Hills is and why. His response was, “Awesome, great kids.” Mr. G shows us what a fantastic program Encore is and how much work Seven Hills does to find the best people possible. He went to Seven Hills because he needed a change of scenery for his job.
