A group of people that work together to accomplish a <strong>goal. <\/strong>The Middle School Girls Soccer Team is that and more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThere are so many things I love about my team,\u201d Maya Ramprasad said when asked to describe her team. \u201cThere is not one word to describe the team; there are so many parts to our team that are so important to all of us, but to me, it\u2019s how we get along so well and have really good coaches.\u201d All the girls on the team bonded very fast and became good friends before school started. When the girls\u2019 soccer team had games, they showed spirit by covering their arms and faces with eye black.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"628\" src=\"https:\/\/7hillshive.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_2927-1024x628.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-740\" style=\"width:423px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/7hillshive.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_2927-1024x628.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/7hillshive.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_2927-300x184.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/7hillshive.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_2927-768x471.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/7hillshive.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_2927-1536x942.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/7hillshive.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_2927-2048x1256.jpeg 2048w, https:\/\/7hillshive.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/IMG_2927-147x90.jpeg 147w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The girls&#8217; soccer team supports each other with encouragement. If someone feels bad about how they played, Maya and the rest of the team \u201clift them up and tell them to keep their heads up.\u201d If someone makes a mistake, the team doesn\u2019t put them down, and if someone makes a mistake, then it\u2019s the whole team&#8217;s fault, not just that one person. \u201cIf there\u2019s a goal, it\u2019s not the goalie&#8217;s fault; it\u2019s the team\u2019s fault.\u201d Maya said. Coach Hanley and Coach Haskins also support their team in many ways. Maya says, \u201cThey put a lot of effort into practice\u201d and \u201cThey are always the loudest at games.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coach Hanley describes the whole team as \u201cjust wonderful.\u201d When coach Hanley explained her coaching technique she described the importance of care \u201cThey don\u2019t care what you know until they know you care,\u201d She likes to show her support to the team by learning about each player and figuring out how to coach them in the best ways. \u201cI love coaching at Seven Hills,\u201d Hanley said.Hanley coaches the people on her team differently than others. She has been coaching at Seven Hills her whole career.Hanley\u2019s old soccer coaches taught her how to set standards. Their girls\u2019 soccer team had a very successful season, and they made an unbreakable bond. They went to the championship tournament, and even though they lost in the finals, they worked together and tried their best. \u201cWe had such a good time together,\u201d said Maya Ramprasad, \u201cI\u2019m really gonna miss the middle school team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By: Neela Patel, Sania Ansari, Lynley Burton What is the definition of a team?
